That would be SolidWorks Plastics

I have not used it personally, so I cannot comment on its validity.
Questioning the food processing idea due to the idea that it looks like the center hole is rusty... or is that chocolate I see? None-the-less, isn't most food processing equipment made of stainless...
one layer of plating, so it appears to be some type of alloy
contamination ???, always possible but do not know, these are basically off the self items for the diesel fuel injector industry
We have the same part offered by two difference vendors. On one vendors part the plated area is plated with 100% Cr per SEM analysis. The SEM on the other parts show the plating to be 95% Cr and 5% Ag.
My question is (with little knowledge of chrome plating) what is the purpose of the...
One reason could be wear. As other parts in the system (or even the damper itself) wear, friction can increase or decrease and the system may need more or less damping force to account for the change.
Or in the case of a hydraulic system it may require different damping as the oil heats up...

We are trying to replace a manually controlled pressure reliving valve in a very simple hydraulic system with a Parker AP04G2YP21CN valve.
hydraulic circuit
However every time we start to energize the valve (increase pressure to the application) the valve oscillates uncontrollably. As we try...
Any suggestions on how best to control the six ground diameters of a shuttle valve piston.
The perfect part would have:
1) all the diameters exactly the same
2) all the diameters concentric with each other
Thoughts:
1) let one end be datum A, the other datum B and a callout for total runout of...
yes, altitude compensators, usually located near the widgets...
All joking aside as others have said there are many things involved
1) was the oil temperature the same (different temps = different viscosities)
2) assuming you are driving "sportingly" your oil is likely substantially hotter when...
ScotttyUK, great idea.
Yes instead of punching a hole (removing a small diameter of material) for your threads, use that material to give yourself more surface for threads. Just pierce the material and push it through to form in effect a thicker sheet thickness in the area of the hardware.
