AISC 15th Spec - F7.3 (WLB for Box Beams) Doesn't make sense

We design a lot of box beams where I work, so we use F7 a lot. In the AISC 15th, they added a brand new section for slender webs that wasn't there before. It's broken down into two sub-sections: (1) Compression flange yielding (2) Compression flange local buckling I'm not seeing how...

Large Deformations/Nonlinear Analysis Possible in RISA-3D?

Thanks again for this info. This sheds a lot of light on the issue for me. I'll look into your suggestions.

Large Deformations/Nonlinear Analysis Possible in RISA-3D?

Josh, thanks for the reply. I thought this might be the case. I guess I don't fully understand why this would be hard. The elements used by RISA are capable of t/c and bending simultaneously, so it seems that if they just implemented a nonlinear iterative fashion of solving then this behavior...

Large Deformations/Nonlinear Analysis Possible in RISA-3D?

I know RISA-3D can take P-Delta into account, but it doesn't seem to take other large deformation effects into account. Or maybe I just don't know how. For instance, if you fix a cantilever beam to one node and load the opposite such that there is a lot of deflection, the second node has no...
