    Hello terrorist First , you should 1st confirm that this is cavitation ,you are judging now only by sound, at least you can perform the vibration test and be sure that there is cavitation in pump.

    Reliability group question

    I think this is not standard to use vibration measurement tools for shim adjustment in running condition . Yes, it can be used to find the soft foot during running the equipment. once you find out the problem of soft foot you can stop the equipment and correct it by using the dial indicator.
