    high SO2 emission

hi, I have two different boilers, namely B 6203 and B 1104. B 6203 is a dual burner system, can use fuel oil or natural gas, while B 1104 is can only fuel oil. Fuel oil used on those two boilers is the same, a marine fuel oil (MFO) with viscocity 15,21 cst (on 100 degree Celcius). When used...

    pH problem on cooling tower

stonecold, the corrotion rate made me worried..corrotion rate for carbon steel now is 3.49 mpy, usually i got 0.5 mpy. i can't isolate the HE, the only one way is to stop the cooling water system. 25362, we usually check the M alkalinity, it is 50 ppm. before n after the pH decreasing, the M...

    pH problem on cooling tower

hi, I have a problem with the pH of cooling tower at ammnonium sulfate (ZA) plant. The normal operation is 7.3-7.8. The make up water is 7.8. Starting from december 25th, the pH is decreasing until 6. There is an online pH analyzer that monitoring pH and a sulfuric acid pump that will work if...

    cycle number

dc, thanks for your comment. quark, i got 6 from silica in boiler water/silica in boiler feed water (0.6/0.1). 10 ppm is the maximum silica permitted in boiler water, not the actual silica in boiler water. sorry for the long reply, djoko

    cycle number

Hi, Can we calculate the cycle number of boiler based on conductivity? If I calculate it based on Silika content, the cylce number of my boiler with P 35 kg/cm2 only 6. SiO2 inlet 0.1 ppm, silica in boiler water 0.6 ppm. the maximum silica permitted in boiler water is 10 ppm. I think that the...

fluid pipe temperature, insulated and not

TD2K.. thanks for your advice.I'll begin my calculation.. pmover.. I read from PID, the insulation is needed for heat recovery, not for personal protection. The vertical pipe is about 2 m from stairs up to the tower. There is no problem with the pump. Actually, the main problem is the high CO2...

fluid pipe temperature, insulated and not

hi.. I have a CO2 stripping tower in my ammonia plant.there is a quench water pipe taken from the middle of the tower (at about 60 m from the ground) that will be pumped and cooled by PHE and then back to the top of the tower. The temperature of the quench water out of tower is about 102 C(it's...

heat of reaction NH3 with H2O

hi.. do anybody knows the heat of reaction released from this reaction at 298 K: NH3 (l) + H2O (l) --> NH4OH I know that NH4OH is not a stable condition, will be decomposized and NH3 n H2O are formed.I am trying to calculate from the heat of formation (Hf) every component but i got some problem...
