Thanks... I am doing flat slab with perimeter beam. so I guess you are suggesting to go with considering 20mm deflection.

Thank you for replying. What do you mean by secondary span & primary span. The formulae that you have suggested is for immediate deflection rite? I read in Reynolds handbook, that the deflection should not be more than 20mm. So shall we follow that.

What I meant is that we will get the stress value of the slab in ETABS but design part it is better to import to SAFE. We will get reinforcement details and also we could do the foundation design also

Well here normally what we do is that we create the building model in ETABS and we import the floor slab to the SAFE and we get the reinforcement. In ETABS we cannot do the Slab element.
