For example if I am sweeping a profile with two guide curves what's the need for a Spine. What does the Spine do?

How do I show a 2D Component in the Drafting workbench, such as a nut?
Do I have to use a standard catalogue that Catia should have and insert the 2D Component or do I have to create my own 2D Component drawing and insert this from the catalogue?
