    .STP Section Difficulties

    Working with an imported CATIA V5 file received as a .STEP. This component cannot be sectioned in a drawing. By this I mean that when I create a section of the view no section lines appear etc. the view does not change as it should. Can anyone explain why? Is it something to do with .STEP? Thanks!
