Hi all,
Should the star point (neutral) of LV embedded generator that runs long term parallel with utility be directly connected to then customer's LV earth?
The situation is that the customer has LV (PME) supply from utility transformer. At site customer has installed a CHP LV generator...
Hi All,
I am involved in accepting connections of new generators on our LV, 11kV and 33kV distribution network. Most of new generators are either CHP (gas engine) that will run Long Term parallel with utility (or) Diesel Generators (DG) that will run parallel only for short duration (1 min...
Hi,
I know that we use X1/R1 for X/R ratio in case of three phase fault. I want to know what will be the X/R ratio for single phase to ground fault?
Can I use (X1+X2+X0)/(R1+R2+R0)?

Hi,
Our Electric utility (in IEC world - UK) is now providing customer connections at 33kV distribution voltage. Loads equal or above 5MVA threshold will be connected directly to 33kV rather traditional 11 or 6.6kV feeders. These bulk customers are metered at 33kV.
Most of the new developments...
I am involved in design of a new supply for a commercial building. The building will have supplies from two different sources each coming from different 132/11kV utility substations.
Supply-1 will be fed @ 400volts 3-phase from utility source-1 via dedicated 1MVA 11kV delta / 0.433 kV Y...
