Hi All,
Code: API 1104
We have a qualified WPS with the electrode E8010-P1 (Manufacturer ESAB).
We are obliged to use the electrode E8010-G (Manufacturer Lincoln Electric).
According to paragraph 5.4.2.6 of API edition 2013 Addendum 2016 can we use E8010-G instead of E8010-P1 WITHOUT...

Dear All
As per Table QW.261 in column "Brief of Variables", QW.405.1, + Position is an "essential variable".
If I understand. And I want to issue a WPS covering all positions 1S, 2S and 4S according to Figure QW.461.7, I have to qualify each position separately. Clearly, I should have 3 PQRs...
Dear All
I need your help for this matter.
I have to weld A335-P11 (1-1/4 Cr - ½ Mo) to A106B (Carbone Steel).
Construction Code ASME B31.3 (Process Piping)
I have a qualified PQR
Base Metal: A335-P11 to A335-P11 P4.1 as per ASME IX – QW-422

Hi everybody!
For our welding work on a project, we purchased the low hydrogen electrode E7018-1H4R Ø 3.2 mm.
But the client rejected it because on the mill certificate appears just the results of chemical analysis.
The reason of the rejection is that this electrode is not conform with the...
We have purchased 2 test rings.
1. ASTM A105
2. ASTM A350LF2
On the mill certificate, the vendor mentioned the same heat number for the two materials.
My question:
Is it possible that the 2 materials can be prepared from the same heat ?
Thanks in advance.
Construction code : ASME B31.3
Qualification code: ASME IX
I have a PQR qualified with A 312 TP 304/304L (Dual) (Non-assigned in ASME IX Para. QW-422)
Can use it to weld a A 312 TP 304 (assigned in ASME IX Para. QW-422).
If not. What I can do in this case?
Thank You for your replay !
Hi everybody,
With ASME B31.3 as construction code and ASME IX as qualification code.
Could I use PQR with PWHT with a WPS without PWHT ?
The thickness range in the WPS don't require PWHT according to ASME B31.3.
NB: The other parameters in the PQR and WPS comply with ASME IX.
Thanks and...
