    Time required for steel rod to come to temperature throughout

    Hello, I have to test a component at a low temperature, -40°C. It is essentially a steel rod, with a .74" OD and is 10" long. I am placing it in a cold chamber at -40°C. How do I find the time required for the steel rod to be -40°C all the way through the rod? Thanks, Andrew
