Section VIII Failure Theory Basis
In preevious versions of the Code the allowable stress intensity values were based on Tresca (Max Shear Stress) Failure theory. Nozzle Loads for Seismic Analysis
I have a tall high temperature vessel analysis. The Data Sheet requires a dynamic seismic analysis oer ASCE4-98. the B&PV Code Version is 2009b. We are doing the analysis in ANSYS Workbench using 3-D elements. When we do the seismic analysis, do we also need to find the worst case...- cougaggie
