Hi guys ... Just wondering if there's anyway to show Treadplate or chequered pattern in solidworks drawing view in the hidden line mode?
I find many deatiled drawings for machines and chassis showing these finishes in standard drawings mode but can't find it yet in Solidworks.

for some reason I keep having problems completing the attached door hinge matting assembly as it's always getting over defined and can't figure out the reason and right way to do it.

I've created an area calculation equation to project on drawings sheet for every sheet metal part ... but the problem is that I can't find a way to control the number of decimals as sometimes the value show 7 digits after 0.

I am putting daily a series of sheet metal drawing for production. I would like to put the surface area on the drawing. The problem is that it is calculating the surface area of the entire part, top, bottom, sides, etc.
Now I could just select the one side of the part hit the MEASURE...
