    904 Stainless... Can you Cut with a Laser successfully?

    That pretty much covers my concerns... Have available a 6k CO2 Laser. It's thin, maybe 3/16" thick. I've read "High Purity" and that seems good to me when Laser cutting. Also read high Nickel, not sure if that's a good thing or not. Anyone have any experience?

    Laser cutting SA 387 Grade 5 Chrome Moly Plate

    Anyone ever put 387 on a laser and try to cut it? looking to cut 3/8" thick. Below is what I found for Chemicals: Gr. 5 C 0.10  Mn 0.30-0.60  P 0.025  S 0.025  Si 0.5 Cr 2.75-3.25 Mo 0.90-1.10 V  - any info would be great. Thanks

    Bystronic Output Coupler Sensor

    We have a pair of Bystronic ByStars, circa 2006ish. Having some issue with the optics going bad in the resonator, turns out we have some debris in there and need to purge it pretty well. One of the techs we spoke to suggested a sensor on the output/end mirror coupler. I'm all for sensors...

    Thick Stainless parts and getting them out of the skeleton

    Anyone have any good suggestions? We've used dead blow Hammers in the past to knock out the less than perfect parts. The ones with a little slag or dross on the bottom, usually 5/8" and up stainless has this issue. believe it or not we had a guy hurt his hand using a hammer, the hand he was...
