    NPT In Feature Parameters

    Using NX8.5 When I use Feature parameters for a screw hole it gives me say "1/4-20 (depth).50" But when I use it for a tapered NPT thread, I get "1/8-(depth).39" Is it possible to get 1/8 NPT-(depth).39 ?

    Subtract vs. Create with sheet bodies

    NX 8.5 Working in the rubber mold industry. Is it better to just simply subtract the piece part model to create a cavity, or create the cavity by extracting sheet bodies from the part model and create other sheets to form a cavity block?     Keeping notes

    Is there somewhere in UG NX8.5 that I can keep notes as to what I am doing, making changes, what the updates are, etc ? Somewhere I can keep track of when it was released to the shop and who I gave the drawings to. Things like that can be refereed to but not show up on drawings or on the models...

    Plot Banner

    I am using UG NX 8.5.1.3 in Win7 I have set the banner origin in 'Customer Defaults' to X-Right-(-11.7) and Y-bottom-(.1) Rotation-0 Justification-Right I exit UG so these are set.     How do you keep the customer defaults when upgrading NX? I have set all my modeling and drafting preferences with File > Utilities > Customer Defaults When we upgrade to the next version, how do I get these into the new version? Moving from NX8.5 to NX9. Thank you.

    Symbolic Thread

    In NX 8.5.1.3 I have two plates in 1 assembly. When I subtract a false body in 1 plate and add a symbolic thread, it shows as a dashed line. When I do this in the other plate, the symbolic thread shows as a solid line. Is there a setting in the part file to change to get the dashed line?
