Hello,
I have a questing regarding weld repair allowed by API 5L in Annex C, Clause C.4.3
C.4.3 The total length of repaired zone on each pipe weld shall be < 5% of total weld length for SAW and COW weld seams.
Submerged Arc Welded Helical (SAWH) pipe have inside and outside welds and...
Hello Everyone,
We are SAWH pipe manufacturer, we carryout repair welding of API 5L Gr. X-70 pipes with Electrode E-9018. Please let me know, can we use electrode E-8018 instead of E-9018 on API 5L Gr. X-70 pipes. if yes, is re-qualification required.

Hi everyone,
I would really grateful if anyone can help me in writing the Management of Change procedure according to API Q1 or share with me the the same
Basically i am writing this first time and don't any any idea about MOC.

Good day guys,
Can anyone let me know, why the cold bending is preferred by the fabricators instead of hot bending? Even in the hot bending there is very little chance of cracking and tubes also get bend easily.

Hello everyone
I would like to know what is the difference between boiler tubes and super heater tubes, also let me know how much pressure and temperature these tubes can sustain.

Hello guys
I would like to ask that, what is the method of finding yield strength of the material tested on Universal Testing Machine (UTM). Due to some error our machine is not making the graph, so we have to do manual calculations for the yield strength.
Someone has advised us to calculate...

Hello Guys
According to ASME SA 333, Gr. 6 Product should be Quench and Tempered but we don't have the facility. Any how we do achieve the properties required by the said standard through simple heat treatment furnace. In your opinion, does our product qualify according to the standard?

Hello guys
A customer wants to visit and check our seamless pipe manufacturing facility as per ASME section 1. According to my knowledge ASME section is the code for construction of boiler and I think it is not applicable to seamless pipe manufacturers, being a manufacturer we only manufacture...
Hello everyone
NACE MR 0175 is the standard for the materials resistive to Sulfide Stress Cracking in H2S environment and for conducting SSC test there are many methods like proof ring type, four point bend type and four point deflection type methods. I would be really glade if some tell me...
It would be very appreciated if some one tells me the name and web address of well known laboratory having a capability to perform Hydrogen Induced Cracking (HIC) & Sulfide Stress Cracking (SSC) Tests.
Thanks
