I am looking for anyone who has used NC Sheetmetal, the Pro/E module for programming turrets or lasers. On the surface, it sounds like a good idea to design & manufacture in the same software package. But does it work? Thanks in advance for any comments, positive or negative.
I am looking for cam software to program Amada turret punch presses, and have arrived at a short list of Metalsoft & Striker. Any opinions/thoughts about which is the better product? I favor Striker because of the arrogant attitude of the Metalsoft sales people, but would appreciate any feedback.
We have several weld jigs for flat .250 thick 6061-t65 aluminum. Weld from 1 side only, approx 4.000 weld bead, .093 gap between the 2 pieces, with a C110 copper insert .031 below the opposite side. My problem is with the copper insert. They only last approx 2 weeks before needing resurfaced...
I want to learn SW on my own. The SW website indicates the Student Edition is only sold to "registered, degree seeking" students. What about people like me who want to (legaly) learn SW on their own?
Please note that I have discovered PTC will sell Pro/E Student Editions for home...
