wondering anyone here has experience with franklin Duraseal valve (double block and bleed ).
is this valve works in corrosive environment ?
if this valve being plug if process medium is not clean( works in dirty service)?
how is the maintenance of the valve? compare to traditional plug valve...

we are in middle of our TA, in one of our vessel (non pressure tower) i need to weld few clips ( to be permanent) however vessel plate is explosion bonded. so i have few questions to ask:
1- i assume we cant weld to EB plate ?
2- i ask foreman to grind the plate to get in to original plate...
I have question regarding to C-276 or all alloys piping. to estimate minimum thickness for Stainless steel pipe we should use ASME 36.19M and other than that we should use ASME36.10. so I was wondering for Alloys like C-276 pipe thickness could we use ASME 36.19M ? if yes why?
I need to order a Amine regeneration Tower for our refinery. Existing tower is carbon steel 516-Gr 70 and new will be sa-264 clad,SA-240 3126L on 516 GR70N backing material.
I have question regarding new clad tower: Do we need to apply any NACE requirements and if yes which NACE Standard.

I try to rerate vessel from 1968 to raise temperature and reduce pressure , i use compress software and i have problem with allowable stress.so my question are which stress i should use to rerate vessel new or old? any othere standard i have too review during Rerating?

My client has vessel and they want to make rectangular opening into the shell. so both PVelite and Compress can not calculate stress on shell due to rectangular Cut/opening( correct me if i am wrong) even nozzle pro . so i wonder if any one here knows any reference to calculate...

we are designing a vessel which is required to due impact test , normalized, and grain refinement, i wonder if we should do the same exercise for the saddle and wear plate.
i wonder if any one can explain what is the differences between design MDMT and Rated MDMT? which one we use as base to determine if impact test is require for vessel or not?
