    grounding vs lightning

    we are installing 130 kW motors on a roof top of cooling plant . these motors are fed from VFDs that are contained in MCC panel. We connected earthing cable (yellow/green) from the MCC earthing busbar to each motor body. should we connect the lightning grid on the roof to the motors. i am afraid...

    whats the moment of inertia of a 900 KW motor ?

    while i was trying to simulate a 900 KW compressor motor using ETAP; i get stuck with the moment of inertia values for the motor, coupling, and compressor. does the starting torque of the motor give any indication about the motor moment of inertia? cheers.

    hi, any idea where can i find tables that contain heat dissipation of MV S.Gs components (breakers, enclosure, busbars, CTs, VTs... etc? or is there any way to estimate that? cheers.
