    JIS equivalent to ASTM for gears

    I am doing some research for my company This is the information that I have found we have japan's JIS as S45CVS1 people say it is equivalent to S45C or G4051. What are the remaining VS1 specs mean or what is the ASTM equivalent for gears not nuts A194-2h that people also keep showing. Thank You
