    EPP Autoclave

    i am a bit confused...i have seen that EPP pellets are immersed in water and CO2 is purged at around 150 C & saturated for 1-2 hrs for expansion.....co2 is the blowing agent....why are the pellets immersed in water? I mean water is not the BA? what is the use of h20?
