Code case 2626 (in short) states that the calculation of the required by thickness UG-16(b)(5(d) (which referes to UG-27 calculation method) may be waived provided that :
the minimum thickness shall not be less than calculated per UG-27?

According ASME 1 the minimum PWHT time for materials P15E (like SA-335 P91) with thickness over 5 inch is 5 hours.
For ASME B31.1 the minimum 5 hours is required already over 2 inch thickness.
Does anybody know why this difference or could this be a typo in B31.1?
A valve according B16.34 is located in a B31.1 BEP, the valve contains a weld ,does it need to be supplied with a S stamp?
Same question for a Desuperheater containing a weld, does it need to supplied with a S stamp?
AWS D1.8 par 7.2.4 (2) only allows ASNTC-1A level III technicians to perform UT where as par. 7.2.4.(1) allows level II and III technicians if qualified by employer.
Qualification by employer shall be at least by ASNTC -1A according par. 7.2.2. I'am lost here.

A complete cracking Heater (radiant and convection sections)is supplied with C-E marking accoerding PED. Is the replacement of the radiant coil considdered as a repair (not subject to PED) or is it a new equipment and shall it fulfill PED.
