What sort of porblems or special considerations need to be taken into account when designing pumps in tandem?
In our area of NW Washington, I don't know of any installations?
The particular project is proposing two 18HP pumps in tandem...
OUr firm is working on a sewer pump station project. The pump arrangement that most satisfies the municipality is tandem pumps. One pump in the wetwell with the second located downstream in the valve vault. we have a high head, low flow situation.
We haven't designed pumps in this arrangement...
