I'm looking in "Scene Editor" at the "Reflection" tab and the "Reflection Map" options are greyed out.
How do I get access to this to turn off Image Based Lighting?
I suspect this happened when I turned on Advanced Studio to play with various image settings.
Is it possible to turn off Advanced...
Although not GD&T I hope this is relevant ...
If you have a reference dimension which is a diameter, would you put the diameter symbol inside or outside of the reference brackets?
For example Ø(1,23mm) or (Ø1,23mm).
If it doesn't show up on other PC's the "Ø" symbol is supposed to be a...
Ok so this shows how pedantic I can be ... [dazed]
When I open a part from Teamcenter the model appears as a window which I then need to "maximize".
It didn't use to do this and doesn't seem to remember my preference when I close NX.
Any ideas how I can force models to open maximized...
I want to add an "Identification Symbol" (aka Balloon) to a drawing without the need for a parts list.
The thread linked below suggests this is quite complex but hints at the possibility of a link with Teamcentre.

Would anyone know if there is...
Does anyone have experience of troubleshooting WAVE geometery links?
I have four linked parts and can open up any two/three with no problems.
But when I open the fourth I get an error "The following circular update was detected:"
I've attached a PDF showing my part structure links and also the...
I'm building a surface model from sheets and have found that two 'variational sweep' surfaces have magically turned grey.
It's the sort of light grey that would suggest they are not the work part (but are).
The 'Edit Object Display' dialog suggests they should be 'Pure Green'.
It happened after...
Hi guys,
I'm getting an error message when I try and save a part.
Can anyone shed some light on what might be wrong...
"Cannot find NX object from Parasolid tag"
I also get a similar message when trying to delete one particular "Trimmed Sheet" operation.
Part clean up doesn't resolve this...
I'm having a problem identifying what the entities are in a SOLID reference set.
The part in question has a total of 35 entities.
1 of these is the main "Solid Body" (with various elements WAVE linked from a single "master" model).
29 entities are assembled "Components"(which have all...
I'm trying to convince our CAD support guys of the benefits of Wavelinking but unfortunately they have had their fingers burnt by someones over exuberant use.
As an example; I recently inherited four parts all linked to a 'dumb' part, where each each 'real' part had 6 linked bodies, 9 linked...
Is anyone aware of a way to split a feature on a solid-body such that the result is still a single solid-body, but that has two coincidental faces?
Hmmm ... if that sounds confusing ...
Essentially I have a shell with an internal 'boss' and want to split the 'boss' in two such that in a...
Here's a odd one ...
I've an assembly (containing 5 sub-assy's and 3 parts) which has decided to exhibit some weird graphical phenomenon.
My best analogy would be of a ghost walking through a wall.
As you rotate the model (with spaceball or mouse) the parts all disappear and reappear through...
Does anyone know if any of these trackballs work with NX?
Kensington (the 'Orbit' looks great value) ...

Griffin (although doesn't look like windows 7 compatible) ...
Has anyone seen this error before ... and more importantly does anyone know how to resolve it?
Within "Style" I am attempting to change the scale of a section A-A in a drawing and get this error message (also see attached) ...
"Error recovery completed for the following error: The record area...
Guys, Could any of you NX wizards offer some advice on a feature I want to model?
The easiest way to explain it is ... to imagine a lathe with a milling cutter moving 5mm in the -Z direction whilst the part rotates 180-degrees (ie 'C' axis).
This is pretty much like using a milling cutter to...
I suspect that I may be asking too much, but here goes ...
Does anyone know how to wrap a sheet around a solid object?
The sheet naturally has underlying geometric curves so the ability to wrap the basic curves would be acceptable.
I have however tried the 'wrap/unwrap curves' feature but this...
