I use AutoCAD to draw 3D Mashed polygons which wouldb be later recognized in SAP2000 as SOLID FEM elements.
I wonder if there is any way to create 3D Mashed polygon from AutoCAD Solid object. It is much easier to draw solids then surfaces.
I use Acad 2000i (SP2).
When I'm in paperspace (layout), is there any possibility to order objects so that paperspace objects are over viewports?
I tried DRAWORDER, but it doesn't work. Viewport frame stays below PS object, but not its content.
Any system variable should be changed?

As far as I can figure it, there are two ways to design slender columns in sway frames.
** 1st:
ACI-318 10.11.1
Generaly slender columns could be designed using magnified first order moments.
It shell be permitted (in the absence of more accurate methods) to use moments of inertia reductions...
I'm using Excell to get 2D charts.
Now I need to plot some 3D surface charts and found out that Excell is not the right software for that (its surface charts don't look very nice).
Can you suggest me other software for that or, maybe, any Excell add-in?

I'm from Europe (not using ACI Codes) and working on a paper dealing with slender columns design.
I need a help concerning some ACI regulations.
I guess that ACI prescribes a bound when second order effects need not to be taken into account when designing RC columns.
EuroCode says:

I'm using ACAD14 at several computers.
Strange thing happens on two of them. It is normal that when one select some object it becomes dashed. On these two computers they (selected objects) remains "continious".
Any idea why it happens?
