I have a question regarding the metric version of the 1998 AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. Equation 5.8.3.4.2-4 shows Sxe=Sx*1.38/(Ag+0.63)<=2000 mm where Ag, Sx, and Sxe are all given in millimeters. Crack in Pile Foundation
I just received a report from our contractor about a pile lateral load test. The report states that during testing, one of the piles made a loud pop at about 30k of load.
