I've searched the forum on this topic, and have found some references to the problem I'm having. I am running SW 2011 sp4
I have a couple of drawings made in an older version of SW, not sure 2008 or 2009?. The drawings have been saved with the views set to draft quality. The problem is they...
Hello All
I came across this on another forum. Check out http://www.hsmworks.com/hsmxpress/ I downloaded this last night. This is 2D only, but it it looks really nice.
Hi all,
Anyone running Spaceball USB 5000 on Windows7 and SW 2011? The spaceball works in rotation &etc., but no comands are availble for the buttons. Are there any drivers/plugins anyone has got to work? The 3DConexxion site does not list a driver for this combination. Maybe older driver...
So I'm attempting to set up a male 37° JIC "boss" in the design library as a revolve with configurations. Problem is, I can't figure out how to make it so I can drag the feature onto a face without it wanting to put the revolve sketch onto that face instead of the end of the revolved boss. I...
I received notice fron SolidWork via e-mail this morning, that SW2010 sp 5.0 EV was available. When I go to the site however, it is not there. Can anyone else confirm or deny whether this service pack is there?
First, let me say that I KNOW that running SW on a non approved card is NOT a good idea. I know that there can be many problems. Please do not reply about the suitability of running a non approved card or driver, thats not what I'm after in this post.
There, now that I've got that off my...
Anyone using Spaceball 5000 USB on Win 7? There is no official driver as far as I can tell. 3Dconnexion forum indicates that the XP64 bit driver should work. Anybody out there who can verify or deny this?
At our company we PDF all of our released drawings for printing. We have recently noticed that our larger (D size, 2.5 mb) print jobs are missing sections, that is sections of the drawing are blank. We are printing to an HP designjet 500 with 16 mb. of RAM and an HPLG card built in. These...
We are still on SolidWorks 2007 sp 5.0. We will likely skip SW2008 & SW2009. We used to jump right in with new releases at sp 0.0, but that is not worth the pain IMO. So, when are you planning to go to 2010? It has some pretty nice features that are looking tempting...
Anyone know of a way to coordinate dimension in a drawing? By this I mean: Select a point for x,y 0,0 and then click on points, vertices, circle centers &etc. and have SW fill in the x,y coordinate. I need to do this on a very detailed cut profile drawing. I am producing a DXF for the cutting...
Just reading the thread on making a curved helix, and it reminded me of a Joe Jones XL sheet I have used before. I dug around for it and here it is.
This is not my work, but from Joe's New Hampshire Cad site - (I don't know if his site is still up)
Cheers
Gerald W.
I'm trying out SW2009, to see whether we want to switch from 2007. We will very likely skip 2008. I like what I see in '09, except one feature that I am finding very annoying - the appearance callout "balloons" that attach to each part face you select. The idea to have these callouts is...
When I installed SW2008 at home, my Cadman 3d controller stopped working - SW2008 ended up blocking a DLL file that was too old.
There is a work around that worked for me. (This is not endorsed by 3DConnexion, but I do not feel like laying out 100's of dollars for a new device for home.)...
I have just installed the EV 4.0 service pack, and the sketch origin is visible again. The SP. seems to run quite well - there are a lot of bugs addressed in this one.
At our company we are running into memory limitations under Windows XP Pro (32 bit). We have tried the 3 Gig memory switch. My questions are, have you switched to SW on 64 bit XP, and would you recommend making the change?
Thanks
Gerald
I noticed in the Task Manager there is a new process called SolidWorksLicTemp that started after installing SW2006. Does anyone know what this does? Is it spyware?
