    Hi, 1. Need to know design vehicular load on concrete guard rails in parking structures. 2. width which can be assumed effective for a certain value of lateral point load. Our Case: Cantilver guard rail with base connection and expansion joints at every 15ft o/c).

    Hi, Please see the attached sketch and comment on acceptability of the rebar details at step location. All suggestions are wellcome. I need to know if someone has practically done any other detail for large spans and for steps larger than slab thickness.

    I have a situation ,where as per site requirements, cantilver slab of about 9ft will be poured later in the construction. Please see the attached sketch and provide your opinion, is it possible to pour as one of the options. I am just wondering that there is no monolithic joint at the junction...
