Hi
I'm working with architects that want to hang steel boxes from a series of steel frames. What is the best to to transfer the loads that will be added to the frames as a result of these hanging boxes. I feel like they are just adding weight to the structure and making everything unnecessarily...
My question is:
When calculating final moments for a slab, are all hyperstatic moments subtracted from moments at limit state? Or are only the moments at supports subtracted and not the ones at midspan e.g.?
HI. I was wondering does anyone know the following:
1. Who is the "father" of post tensioning. Who came up with the theory behind it?
2. Where was it first put to use? I know it was 1957 (from FAQ forum) and in the USA, but not where.
