I want to model a plate with thickness variation. the nominal thickness is 2 mm but after measurement found the thickness is vary from 1.85 to 2.15 mm. My question is how I can model the plate? if I make the plate as a part with nominal thickness how I can apply the thickness variation?

I have created a simple 3d body in abaqus/explicit v6.7 and try to rotate it using boundary condition (displacement/rotation). I have defined UR1 and want to turn the body over the X direction. After running the program there is no error but I cannot see any change on the body.
