    SA-266 Grade 3 in ASME B31.1

    Hi, I cannot find the allowable stresses for SA-266 Grade 3 in ASME B31.1 but remember a colleague telling me that it is acceptable. Is there a code case covering this in B31.1 or is there a procedure in B31.1 that I should follow to qualify it?

    FEA of ANSI Flanges

    I remember reading an article a few years ago where someone had performed an FEA of ANSI B16.5 flanges to code and deduced that some sizes were overly designed whereas others were slightly under (I think). Has anyone else read such an article? If so, do you know where I can get a hold of it?
