Natural gas vs Propane hp derate

I'm being told if you make a switch on a spark ignition engine from Ng to Lpg you need to hp derate. Same engine at stoich on both LPG and NG. This just seems counterintuitive to me but I've been wrong before. Thanks Frank

US EPA stationary engine emission certification

I have a GM 454 based 150hp natural gas engine. I'd like to get emissions certified. I want to get this engine certified on wellhead gas with a BTU range of 900 to 1500. I'm trying to find an emissions lab that is familiar with this type of cert or a consultant who can help with the cert. Does...

    Hydraulic roller lifter failure

I'm having what I believe are premature roller failures. I'm seeing failures at between 2000 hrs and 10,000 hrs. I realize this is between 120,000 miles and 600,000 miles. These are in ford big block engines used in stationary continous duty applications. They are ran at 1800 rpm with oil being...

I know the coupler will work on the load side. The part I'm unsure about is what the coupler will do when it's driven by the load...

    Antifreeze effects or aluminum radiators

I have been getting conflicting information from aluminum radiator suppliers. One supplier has told us that the use of non-aluminum compatible antifreeze will eat away the radiator in as little as a few days. Another supplier has told us the worse effect of non-compatible antifreeze is that it...

    O2 Sensors

What is the advantage of doing fuel trim with both post an pre cat O2 sensors? Everything I've seen and read the precat O2 does 90% of the trim and Post does about 10%. I've ran into a system that will allow either O2 to do 100% percent of trim.
