Looking at a job requiring the welding of ASME A860 pipe fittings to Api5l X42 pipe. Please educate me on the preferred welding consumables and procedures of choice. I am familiar with X42 material, I know very little about A860.
I have a ASME Sec.VIII Pressure Vessel with a tread o-let that the bead is keeping a thermowel from screwing in. I am asking, Is it permissable to grind a little on the bead, so the themowel will pass and not interfere with the code.
I NEED THE RECOMMENDED TORQUE VALUES FOR 150# AND 300# RFWN FLANGES. I AM USING A320 GR.L7 STUDS, A194 GR. 4 OR 7 NUTS WITH A SPIRAL WOUND METALIC GASKET W/ FLEXIBLE-GRAPHITE FILLER.
