I have a project and there is a existing make up air unit with 4000CFM capacity. But according to a new design, we are short of 1500 CFM.
Should I replace the existing unit with a new make up air unit?
or add a new make up air unit?
Is there a third way to do?
btw, I design with 80% capactiy...
if there is a window in the toilet, it is not necessary to have an exhaust fan?Is there any code saying that?
I checked the Ashrae 62.1. it only says the minimum exhaust rate.

I have currently doing a project for a small restaurant. I have a regular dishwasher machine and sink. Because the grease trap is on the floor surface, I have to use a pump to pump all the water to the grease trap. What size of pump do I need? the sanitary pipe is 2".
I have had this problem not just once.
for restaurant project, if the grease interceptor is on the floor surface,then my sanitary pipes connecting the interceptor have to be above the floor. But if I have hood far away from the grease interceptor, how I can avoid this problem??

I am new here. I am currently distribute ducts from a roof top unit. I am told to add a 1" insulation from the output of the roof top unit in a distance of 25'. I donot know why it should be 25'. what should I do if my main duct are less than 25'???
