Hi all,
Has anyone experience with bolting material X6NiCrTiMoVB25-15-2 (austenitic)? This is used for tightening pressure boundary parts of a valve.
Up to which temperature is possible to use this material and for how long?
I am afraid about the possibility of having intergranular corrosion...
Hello,
The standards AD2000 and TRD421 talk about the discharge coefficent αw.
The standard EN 4126-5 talks about the discharge coefficient Kd and the de-rated discharge coefficient Kdr. And Kdr=0.9*Kd
The standards ASME VIII and API RP 520 talk about the discharge coefficient Kd.
αw and Kdr...
Hello.
Is it acceptable if I have a valve designed according to EN 12516-2 and the pressure boundary parts are made of ASTM/ASME materials? If I have welds among these pressure boundary parts, the Welding plans and procedures should be according to EN or ASTM/ASME standards? The NDTs of these...
Hello.
I need to define a procedure to perform the FATT test for the material X20CrMoV11-1.
In theory this procedure will be based in the standards A370 and ASME Section III NC2300.
I know that we need to perform some tests up to different temperatures to define a curve. What I don't know is...
Hello.
The scope of this standard is for "highly stressed components". Where is the limit? When can I know if one material is higly stressed or not? When do I need to apply the standard 12680-1 (for general purposes) or 12680-2 (highly stressed components)?
thanks and regards.
Hello,
I have a doubt about the material X46Cr13 and its standard EN 10088-3.
If you check the standard 10088-3, you will see in some pages that you can perform +QT800 to the material X46Cr13. In other pages it is written +QT850 instead of +QT800. Do you know what is valid? Tha values of...
I should have to make a non-linear study (plasticity) of one shaft with ANSYS. This shaft is put under torsion stresses. I have to study its damage and its limit. Which type of study you recommend to me?
Do you know any website where I can find welding properties of materials? (for example, min. and max. welding temperature of 316L, or A-105/N, and many other materials and properties..)
Thanks and regards,
