I Have a rod with a 3/4"-16unc thread on each end that are 1" long , overall length about 13" with a 1.5" shoulder and fillets in the corners. My Question is about applying boundary conditions to it. One end is screwed into another parts and is "fixed" the other end has a 17,500lbf load...
Anyone can help out? looking got the major, Pitch and minor for an external & internal thread tolerance. Machine handbook only covers 5 1/8 and 5 1/4. this 5 3/16"is an old odd ball thread.

New to the valve industry and I am creating a drawing for a packing set. All I Know is the current material used is a white native PTFE. I would like to ad an ASTM material spec to the print to ensure the right stuff.
