    Marine construction to trail new hardwoods

    I recently demolished 6 lock gates in South Wales. The Greenheart Heel and Mitre timbers, apart from a few scarfed areas, were in an almost new condition. The Gate Leaves had been constructed in 1914. the timbers had never been replaced. The new proposed Hardwoods will have big shoes to step into.
