Our company is having trouble sourcing Aluminum 2024 Sheet in the T4 condition. And when they are able to source it, it is very expensive. However, T3 which has very similar properties to T4 and is readily available with much cheaper costs.

Looking into brazing Al alloy 5056 to Al 6061-T4. Melting point for Al 5056 is 1055F-1180F while the melting point for 6061 is 1080F-1205. For general brazing of Al 6061 to 6061, usually recommend BAlSi-4 filler metal with a brazing temperature range of 1080-1100F.
