    Testing 6" Pipe - Pneumatic and/or Hydrostatic

    I have a client who needs to test 17km (10.6 miles) of coiled 6" pipe at 1.25xMAWP = 4500 psi (310 bar). I am concerned with the safety of doing only a pneumatic test (with He tracer to detect microscopic leaks). The usual TNT calcs don't really apply in this case since it is small diameter...
