    Does any know of a good website that defines all the terminology used in metal stamping fabrication?? One with with a lot pictures would be preferred. Or recommend a good book? Getting into stampings and need to get up to speed on terms like "back break", "fracture", "roll over", etc, etc...

    Hall effects-reverse output voltage

    I'm using Allegro A120x hall effect switches...one of the specs is something called Max Reverse Output Voltage( In this case it's -0.5V. What does that mean and how do I not exceed it. I"m more mechanical so thus the question. Thanks....

    Surge test of deltas and wyes

    Hope someone can tell me what to do. How do you hook up a wye or delta wound coil to a surge tester/??? I know how to hipot the coil. Do you do a combination 2 wires at a time? Do 2 wires on one tester lead and the remaing one on the other?? Any help would be good. Thanks...

    Heat expansion of tubes/rings

    Can anyone tell what the equation/s would be to find out how much the outside and inside diameter of a tube or ring expands?? I just had a bearing fall out of my housing cause heat expanded the housing faster than the bearing. Thanks...Ruso

    Testing Radius of gears

    Can anyone tell me what a testing radius is for a spur gear??? And how do I calculate that?? What affects it? I know that pitch radius is equal to testing radius in an unmodified gear. Any website that I can go to calculate over wire dims as well?????

    Can anyone help me find out what the tolerances are on a class h10 shaft are ?? I find h9 and h11 readily but I'm having a hard time finding what h10 is. I have a customer requesting this from Europe. Can't find it in my machinery handbook. Thanks.

    I'm trying to find out what "Idle watts" on a motor name plate means. Does it mean watts of the motor under no load, or watts of the motor in a locked (stalled) condition???
