Up until now we have been saving a drawing as FILEXYZRevA.slddrw, then the next revisions being FILEXYZRevB.slddrw etc. The revision usually has been a specification rather than a change in the part.
However this falls down if we revise the part because the part revision will update on Rev A...
I noticed that when I moved from 2008 to 2010 that all my parts open up with the Origin showing. Is there a setting to default to Origin hidden?

I draw lamp and I want to easily show the pin center to center dimensions. Currently I draw a tiny line perpendicular from the center of each pin and then dimension these. But am I missing something here? Is there an easier way? I am on SW2010 SP2.1.

How bad is taxation and cost of living over in CA. I am thinking about the San Fran area but I am aware that the Boston prices where I live are high as it is, so I am used to that. Comparisons on factors such as job market, other costs, if anyone has input...thanks

I was wondering if anyone has done this or if indeed it can be done. We are using Eagle 4.11, and SW 2008 SP5 and would love to bring the Eagle designs into SW.

$PRP:"SW-ShortDate" is what I used on my template to get the date but I notice that this updates to today's date when I resave the drawing if I need to make a change/ECO?
Is there another $PRP code I should be using?

I am making a box where a wire coming from the top side will connect to a copper bar within the box. The attached jpeg shows the box and I added two red lines to show what I want to see happen.
I was trying a 3D spline but not having much success.

On a drawing, I have some writing in color and the printer is printing it in B/W. What's weird is that all the settings are in color and also the logo of the company is color and that prints just fine. Is there somewhere I should be looking to see a setting for printing font color?

I have a need for a timer that can do the following,

In the attached drawing I have set the dimension to .XX yet it shows up as X.
I have gone to Tools>Options>Units and it's correctly set but I can't see what I am doing (so simply) wrong here.
I have a rectangle block where I am putting in six holes. I used the linear pattern to add the six holes. Now I want to make a three hole version exactly half the size. Is it possible to specify the configuration on which patterned holes to suppress? I am using SW2008.
I have a drawing stating a callout for plating finish followed by another number in parentheses after that. Can someone explain this to me. It's a drawing in mm.
