What is the difference between the EPA terms MACT and RACT?
I know acronyms stand for...
MACT = Maximum Achievable Control Technology and
RACT = Reasonably Achievable Control Technology
But practically, what is the difference to a plant owner/operator?
What would be the best method to measure the level in a tank which is:
Acid, strong, various types, varying density, etc.
Foaming present on top
Particulate/solids collecting at bottom
I am thinking Radar or Pressure, am I on the right track?
I have some questions about Air scouring of pipes for removal of scale, etc. Can anyone recommend a good description / reference for how to accomplish this? I gather that it is the injection of compressed air into the water supply to create more turbulence to loosen the crud off the pipes.
