    Error: Layout not found

I'm getting an error message when I try to plot a layout of a drawing. The thing is, I can plot other layouts in the same file. Also, my colleague can open the same drawing and plot the same layout that I cannot. Anybody know how to fix this?

    Mathcad ListBox

Hi all, I recently set up a simple Mathcad sheet with several listboxes. When I pick and item from the list (some off the shelf lifting hardware) the listbox vb script spits out the ratings of the hardware for some strength checks. The problem is that when I close the spreadhseet I lose all of...

Neubers rule and stress concentration vs singularity

Hi, I've been researching on how to deal with stresss concentrations and singularities in FEA models. My coworkers tell me to input a bilinear kinematic model and check that the plastic strain is less than 5%. First of all, I think this might be valid at stress concentrations such as fillets...

ASD 9th Chapter H Combined axial and bending

I have a question about applying ASD 9th Chapter H, combined axial and bending. There is a factor accounting for the end moments, Cm, and the code states that Cm should be .85 for members restrained against rotation. I have a tubular member full penetration welded to a larger chord, so that...

    AISC bolt pretension

I have noticed something that seems odd regarding bolt required pretension and bolt strength. I'm looking in 2005 AISC manual, ASD. In Table J3.1 of the AISC manual, a table of minimum bolt pretension values is given, for joints that require pretensioning. For a 1 inch A325 bolt, the minimum...

    flat plate solutions

Hi, I am looking for some references regarding the calculation of stresses in flat plates under various loading and boundary conditions. I have the Roark's book but I often run into situations where this book is not sufficient. Does anyone have specific titles that they have used or could...
