friend of mine is assembling a cobra kit car(high end kit)
his front brake calipers would not line up with the rotor,he was advised to put hard washers under the mounting suface of the caliper,thus moving it to the inside and line up with rotor.
my opinion is that this is not safe...

we have several cat gensets,3500 series and 3600 series.in the last few years we have had to replace 3 rads and 1 jacket water aftercooler core due to corrosion.
the antifreeze is as per the cat recommendation and is changed out every 2nd year(usually).
we monitor the additive levels but still...

i think this might be an interesting backyard project.
i looked at building an electric car but the price for batteries is just nuts.

i have run into some curious operating problems with diesel engine exhaust particulate trap equipment.
one is in a fleet of smaller buses used in short run(2 or 3 mile loop,16 hours per day)
the exhaust does not get hot enough,so the engines are going into "regen" mode,and require us to put them...
