    beam loading

    Please can anyboby load for me the shaded beam from the attached drawing? I slabs are 200mm thick and beam size is 230mm wide and 600mm high measured from top of slab to bottom of beam (to be casted monolithically). I just want to convive my self with slab to beam loading method Im using!!

    hi everyone. When somebody says a beam is spanning in direction lx of the slab, what does he exactly mean? That a beam is parallel to lx length or ly length? Note: lx is shorter distance while ly is longer one. Thanks in advance.

    retaining wall

    Im just to design a propped retaining wall. My superior wants one face reinforcements but I think that is not propper as propped retaining wall experience both positive and negative moment. I preffer putting reinforcements at both faces, near and far face. Please advice!
