I can't mirror a sheet metal part in Solidworks 2005. I have made half a section and just want to mirror it. It says bend face is an invalid face for sheet metal. Yet it wants me to select a face of the actual sheet metal part for it to work. Any ideas?
Ok so I made these pieces of sheet metal all with lofted bends, all are Gaussian surfaces. I try to flatten and now it says it can't do it. I feel like I've been cheated by SolidWorks! "The part contains features that cannot be unbent." I'm getting pretty frustrated now. Any suggestions?
I've made half a sheetmetal section with splines, using lofted bends. Now I want to complete my part and mirror the sheetmetal feature. It says it can't mirror a sheet metal feature, and to "try" mirroring a body! What is a body? Why won't it let me?
Ok I'd like to start a new thread for this one. I've attached a pic of what I'm doing. Basically it looks a bit like a football. I made these arcs and want to connect them via lofted bend. Panel 1 seems to be fine (maybe because the arcs do no connect at the ends?).

I'm trying to create a sheet metal part out of a simple spline. I can't get it at all. Is there a trick? I've tried a 2d and 3d sketch and the closest I've gotten is 3d sketch and created a surface with it. It looks just like what I want the sheet metal part to look, except I need to be able to...
