Hello, we are trying to make some analysis with fluent about how heat would flow from a tracer to the line, when the tracer is not in touch with the pipe.
We are trying to do it on Fluent, creating the geometry with Gambit, but up to now, tne soft is winning....

does anybody knows if there is any equivalent oil to the Quintolubric 888-68.
Is the Quintolubric 888-68 a very special oil, with some properties that there is no other oil that could replace it?
Is shell Tellus L equivalent?
The piping will be made of SS.

I've read the two Kister distillation books: Distillation Operation and Distillation Design. Is there any other book like those, but more updated?
The methods maybe are the same, but the test data in different conditions and with different systems may be bigger.

I'm not a material specialist, but in the office they give me a problem retaled with.
In a amine plant, using DIPA, the low temp/low pressure part of the plant is designed with ASTM A 516 Gr B, according to NACE 0103 (it's refinery), but in the high temperature part (after lean/rich exchanger)...
Has anybody any kind of criteria/rule of thumb to determine the low pressure steam consumption for jacketed pipes?
And for line tracing, is there any kind of criteria for vapor consumption??
