I'm currently using the educational version of
solidworks 2007, but don't see any info on
creating a variable radius on an edge.
Here's what I'm trying to do:
I have an edge that let's say is 6" long.
I would like to have half of the edge (3") be a
.100" chamfer and the remaining part of the...
I'm looking to take pencil drawn cross-sections, (like a boat hull
for example), bring
them into Solidworks using Sketch Picture, then use them as
patterns to trace them. I then trace them to create sketches,
each sketch on it's on plane. I then loft those sketches together
to create the complex...
When trying to import a ProE assembly file,
it tells me "All features suppressed or an
empty ProE file". Would anyone have any ideas
to get around this. These parts were made from
a former engineer who used to work here and
took ProE with him...

I have a rectangular bar with a oblong
slot through the middle. In the center
of the slot I have an axis to rotate around.
How can I rotate the bar around the axis
a certain number of degrees? (like, for example 2 degrees)
instead of free dragging it, which does not good...

I can't seem to find COMBINE in Assembly
mode, so I can subtract one body from
another. Where is it hidden? OR do I
need to use a different command in
assembly mode?

How can I delete an individual line
within a drawing view? When I try to
delete a line in a view, the whole
view deletes. I just want the single
line to go away, not the whole view.

I have a tube with its origin at one
end of the body and would like to move the body so
the origin is at the opposite end of the tube.
How can I do this? Bear in mind, I'm new to
