    Insufficient Data in File

Does anyone out there know how to trouble shoot the error: Insufficient Data in File? I am trying to analyze a pull test fixture made up of a 12' x 4.5' base of I-beams and a thick plate with a shackle mount attached and braced with I-beams cut at 45 degree angles on either end. These add up to...

    King Pin Load for Semi-Trailer

What is the typical hitch weight (percentage of trailer weight) placed on the king pin of a semi-trailer? I know gooseneck trailers use around 20% but it seems like semis must carry more based on how far rearward their axles are. Thanks for the help, Mike

    12vdc Reversible Motor

I am working on an application that requires around 1/2 hp to act on a speed reducer which will output the torque we need to lift a heavy load slowly. We are considering using a hydraulic set up but it would be more compact and hopefully cheaper using a small electric motor. The only...

Speed reducer, shaft, and pulley lifting problem

I need to calculate the torque required from a speed reducer to lift a load. The lifting system involves a motor attached to a dual speed reducer which will attach via a coupler on either side to 1” shafts. On the end of each shaft will be an 8” V-grooved drum. To each drum I will fasten two...
