When I copy an Object be it a line or block and want to paste it, I want it to be at my cross hairs, but it is way off, so I have to zoom WAY out then paste it in the area where I want it to be, then ZOOM in and move it from there.. HELP......

I am trying to set up my computer to use a HP 755cm Plotter. I go through the plotter set up. But then when I go into AutoCad 2000, and do a page set up and select the HP 755cm The program quites and boots me out to my desk top.... Any help would be apperciated.
