Could anyone tell me when is recommeded subsurface foam injection in vertical storage tank for fire fighting?.
What kind of product need, for fire fighting, subsurface foam injection?.
For fuel Storage tanks fire protection I have the following questions:
1.- When sub surface foam inyection system is recommended?.
2.- Best Inyection foam system for Diesel & Jet A1 (sub surface or surface inyection).
3.- Application rate of foam for Diesel, Jet A1, HFO (Heavy Fuel Oil) &...

I have to design a tank and the customer specify an internal design pressure of 0.2 psi. The custumer also specify that the tank must have an open vent with flame arrestor and in case of flame arrestor obstruction the customer require additionally a Pressure & vaccumm relief valve with flame...
Could anybody answer me the following question about freeboard?:
1.- What is consider like a secundary containment?.
2.- Could the external dike area be consider like a secundary containment?
3.- Is Freeboard required in tank with internal or external floating roof?
Does anyone could tell me. Why is it recommeded, for API 650 Vertical tank, to make a buttweld joint for the bottom's plates with thickness of 3/8" and thicker?
Is There any trouble in having lap weld bottom joints?. Why?
Does anyone can tell me the criteria to evaluate if the tank roof and shell are designed to contain the sloshing liquid?
By the other hand I would like to know what happen if the sloshing height is bigger that the freeboard.

In a API 650 tank design.
In a cone roof supported tank with an internal design pressure bigger than the roof plate weight. Can I weld the roof plate to the structrure?
I have a custome who want to use 8" pipe to flow 2,925 us gpm. In this case the flow velocity es aproximatelly 18.78 fps.
Is this velocity aceptable?
NFPA hava a maximum velocity limits in branches pipes for foam solution and spray water system (cooling water for vertical storage tanks)?
